The Sustainable Diversified Trust is designed especially for smart investors who want to grow their money while reducing the risk to their investment.
To achieve this, instead of investing all of your money in the stock market, our experts invest in a balanced mix of high quality companies, corporate bonds, government gilts, property and cash. This reduces overall risk and offers a great potential to grow your money. In addition, our experts look at major changes happening around the world – such as ageing populations and renewable energy – and invest directly in companies who should benefit from these growth areas.
What it invests in
We aim to provide capital growth from a diverse range of asset classes, for example equities, fixed income, property-related investments and cash, mainly in the United Kingdom.
The companies chosen for the Fund are what we call ‘sustainable’. This means they are responsible companies working to address some of the key social, environmental and corporate challenges that are shaping our future and the world that we live in. In doing so, we believe these companies offer great potential for long term returns.
Who it is suited to
Investors who wish to participate in the stock market over the medium to long term, through a professionally-managed unit trust investment where an active approach to asset allocation is used to manage risk within the fund in order to deliver improved returns.
Risk profile
Cautious - the fund is suitable for investors who are prepared to accept some risk to their capital, with the aim of achieving a better return than a bank or building society account.
Please remember that a unit trust is a different kind of investment from a bank or building society account. Whilst the capital in such an account is secure, a unit trust is a stock market-based investment and its value will fluctuate and neither the capital nor level of any income is guaranteed.
