The importance of advice

It’s not just novice investors who can find it helpful to talk to someone who can guide them through the process of investing, experienced investors can still benefit from professional advice too.

Financial Advisers can help you understand your goals and define an investment plan to achieve them. They can also talk to you about investing in the most tax-efficient way, planning for your retirement and making sense of the risks involved with investing. There are two kinds of Financial Advisers:

  • Independent Financial Advisers offer impartial advice based on their knowledge of the market.
  • Financial Advisers who are linked to a bank or another financial services organisation will be able to advise you about recommended products from their own organisation and sometimes a selected group of other providers.
